About me
Katy Moscoso has served as a human sciences specialist for EFNEP and SNAP-Ed programming at Iowa State University since 2015. She started with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in 2012 as a program assistant for SNAP-Ed, transitioned into a supervision role from 2015 to 2019, and now spends her time working on special projects for both EFNEP and SNAP-Ed. Katy holds a master's of sciences degree in journalism and mass communication and a bachelor’s degree in child, adult and family services, both from Iowa State University. Katy has helped create and lead various trainings across the state for both EFNEP and SNAP-Ed programming. She has implemented a mentorship program for new staff, as well as a successful wellness program to improve staff wellbeing. Katy continues to seek out opportunities to share the good work happening in Iowa with other states and programs.
