About me
Annie Roe joined the University of Idaho faculty as the Director of Eat Smart Idaho (EFNEP and SNAP-Ed programming) in March of 2016. Annie has a Ph.D. in Biochemical and Molecular Nutrition with a specialization in Nutritional Cognitive Neuroscience from Tufts University in Boston, MA. Prior to earning her Ph.D., Annie completed the Coordinated Program in Dietetics at the University of Idaho, after earning a B.S. in Biology from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND and a M.S. in in Exercise Science from the University of Montana in Missoula, MT. When not working on Eat Smart Idaho programming, Annie’s research seeks to understand how nutrients, whole foods, and dietary patterns influence brain development, maintenance, and disease prevention for optimal cognitive, mental, and emotional health across the lifespan.
