About me
Brigid McDonnell is a Research Associate in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Colorado State University, an EFNEP Supervisor, and a lead author of the Eating Smart ● Being Active curriculum. In addition to her supervisory role, Brigid leads CSU EFNEP Educator hiring and training, co-leads adult and youth curricula development, and contributes to the creation and maintenance of CSU EFNEP program polices and materials. As a Project Manager, Brigid leads CSU EFNEP research protocol development, training of educators and data collectors, and oversees research project implementation and fidelity.
Brigid has worked for Colorado State University Extension since 2003. Prior to her appointment to the CSU EFNEP leadership team, she was as an Extension Agent in Jefferson County, Colorado. Through her work with SNAP-Ed, she served in various county public health advisory roles informing school wellness policy and community health initiatives. Brigid received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania and a Master of Public Health from the Colorado School of Public Health at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus.
