About me
Laura Holt is the Training Manager for Texas EFNEP. She has served in this role for 3 years and previously served as the EFNEP Agent for Harris County. She received a bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Science Education with an emphasis on Human Nutrition from New Mexico State University, and a TESOL certification and master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Eastern New Mexico University. In addition to her work with Texas EFNEP she has 15 years of professional experience in both youth and adult education serving as a Family and Consumer Science Agent with the New Mexico State University Extension Service and as a middle school science and home economics teacher and reading specialist. As an educator and a mother, she believes deeply in the EFNEP mission and is passionate about providing quality learning opportunities to participants and educators alike by providing support for improved instructional skills and relevant and accessible curricula.
