Aruna Budhram is an experienced community outreach professional with a deep commitment to improving community health and wellness through nutrition education. As a Program Specialist with the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), she leads the planning, implementation, and evaluation of community-based nutrition programs across Illinois. Her work involves assessing local needs, developing innovative and inclusive educational materials, and providing training to Extension staff to enhance program impact. With a passion for empowering limited-resource audiences, Aruna is dedicated to creating meaningful partnerships, supporting research initiatives, and utilizing evidence-based strategies to foster healthier communities.
