About me
Lisa Ross is an experienced public health professional with a steadfast commitment to improving the well-being of individuals and communities.
Currently serving as the State Program Coordinator for the Kansas Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education (SNAP-Ed) initiatives, Lisa provides strategic leadership for both programs, which are implemented by Kansas State University Research and Extension. She has been with Extension since March 2016 and assumed the role of program leader in October 2018.
Prior to her work with Extension, Lisa served as the coordinator for a local Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program, where she gained valuable experience in supporting maternal and child health. She also stepped into the role of Interim Director of the local health department, further expanding her expertise in public health management. Throughout her career, Lisa has been instrumental in organizing, planning, and directing programs that have made a tangible impact on community health.
With a deep passion for public health, Lisa is particularly dedicated to helping underserved populations access resources that support their overall health and well-being. Her leadership continues to foster healthier communities through education, empowerment, and targeted public health initiatives.
